Prosecutors also explained, at length, that “the anarchist ideology” also includes violence, including violence targeting law enforcement.

The indictment did not include any statistics about the number of people believed to have been harmed or killed by anarchists.

Every American should read this ACLU lawsuit about what is happening in Los Angeles and California. It is the stuff of dystopian nightmares. This is not immigration enforcement. It is positively stuffed with videos and articles documenting racial profiling on a scale unseen since Jim Crow.

Do you feel safer now that the Trump admin is removing landscapers? What purpose does this serve?

There is some vague MAGA notion that native Americans will rush in and take these jobs but also we need to keep the minimum wage down and limit access to health insurance

KTLA - Narciso Barranco, a father to three sons who are all US Marines, pepper-sprayed and punched in the face by alleged federal immigration officers while he was working as a landscaper at an IHOP. He was then forced into the back of an unmarked car in Santa Ana.

Hard not to believe that the current moment will not completely poison many people's ability to trust the US government for a long time. No-one really believes that the masked men dishing out the kind of violence will ever face any sort of accountability.

Ice and the CPB are domestic enemies to the constitution and the acceleration that we are now seeing in fascist use of power is a beginning, not an endpoint for where this is going.
American democracy no longer exist and we must understand that if we want any chance before it goes kinetic.

It’s a recalibration of economic control.

Oligarchs don’t live paycheck to paycheck. They have the capital to buy market dips and recoup faster, acquiring more assets at fire sale prices along the way.

When the dust finally settles, they will own more.

The rest of us will own less. A lot less.

Yeah, I'm sure there was an elaborate planning session with political strategists who pull down seven figures and told Newsom that this was the Savvy Move, but this is an absolute deal-breaker.
"The first guest on Gavin Newsom's podcast was Charlie Kirk" is more than enough for me to say "absolutely not" to any suggestion Newsom play any role in the future of the Democratic Party. People like him are the past, the failures, the ones who got us here.
Gavin Newsom would have put down the Bell Riots with tanks and napalm I can tell you that much
