the tech right is cool because they'll say "we must build the future and make the US the most innovative country in the world" and also "women should stop getting educated some time in high school so they fuck more"
Roko Mijic (of the Basilisk) has been proposing this, and it never takes long for an evil idea to trickle over from the Yudkowskyites to the GOP

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

"I'm not going to just wait until they touch the ACA. That's the kind of pundit-brain, poll-tested bullshit that got us into this mess."

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

As long as this Elon Musk person isn’t known for blowing things up, we’re probably fine.
