I’m as gobsmacked as many people by recent #SCOTUS opinions. Precedent, logical reasoning, and human decency are all out the window in many of them. But not all. Some majority opinions and dissents are thoughtful, respectful, and, IMHO, follow the principles of stare decisis and basic Con law. 1/2

Tomorrow is also international knitting in public day What better way to demonstrate peaceful protest than to knit in a group in public? (Or crochet, embroider, whatever - be inclusive.) Please post pattern suggestions for #knitting, #crochet, #tunisiancrochet and anything else on theme. Thanks!

I feel like I should be embarrassed by how many times I’ve watched the #hamilten performance from the #tonyawards and a bit ashamed about watching unauthorized bootleg videos to marvel at the choreography and tech (which also allow you to see more of the OBC). I’m not. #Hamilton forever. #loveislove

Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation.

I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

Please use the link below - call your senators and representatives repeatedly and daily. Follow the scripts for various issues or just tell them your thoughts. But use your voice. You voted for them. Tell them what you want them to do! You matter!
And in case you were wondering, yes, there are plenty of things Democrats in the House and Senate can do...

Call and demand they take real action! This alarming takeover must be met with forceful public resistance. ➡️ 5calls.org/issue/elon-m...

Lovely. Please remember there's always someone who cares, whether they know you or not.

Sometimes talking with someone I don't know is easier, cuz I'm not worried about how they'll see me in the future.

I've had loads of therapy, and it saved my life, quite literally. Please call someone! ❤️🥰❣️

#hookerwips #crochet what’s on your hook? What did you recently finish? Let’s see ‘em!

Ok, #crochet folks. The knitters have a festive hashtag #showmeyourknits. How about we come up with something equally fun? KnottyHookerExhibition? Something light to suggest that we’re communally sharing our WIPs. And that we’re inclusive of traditional and Tunisian, if that’s necessary. Thoughts?

Not remotely humble brag: some of my work is in this exhibit. I’m proud of my employer for teaching students to serve the community. Sometimes, resistance comes in the form of kindness. Follow their lead! 🧶 #Willamette #crochet #knitting #helpthehomeless
