Word.
So Speaker Johnson threw a tantrum today & canceled votes for the rest of the week because he couldn’t wrangle enough support to block new parents from voting in Congress. I guess when you don’t get your way, you just shut it down and send everyone home? The American people didn’t elect us to pout.

The IRS could collect $500 billion LESS in tax revenue this year due to DOGE cuts to the agency. A big chunk of that will come from the rich underpaying their taxes. Meanwhile, only $7.7 billion of DOGE "savings" can actually be verified.

So much for efficiency. fortune.com/2025/03/24/i...
The IRS could collect $500 billion less in tax revenue, report says, and the US may run out of cash in a few months without a debt-ceiling hike
An expected 10% revenue decline is due to changes in taxpayer behavior and President Donald Trump's cuts to the IRS, according to The Washington Post.

To friends and family living abroad: I share Reich’s concerns. Please reconsider travel plans to the US … at least until we pull ourselves out of this mess. Until more caring, rational, ethical, and constitutionally legal heads prevail, sit tight. We need some time to save ourselves.

This was a great - and eye-opening - listen. Worth an hour of your time.
“Young people have gone from being the most progressive generation since the baby boomers, and maybe even in some ways more so, to becoming potentially the most conservative generation that we’ve experienced maybe in 50 to 60 years,” David Shor said on the latest episode of “The Ezra Klein Show.”
