🚨 The DOJ appears to have redacted Donald Trump’s name from the allegations made in this exhibit in the Epstein files.

Trump’s name was in the original release. Now, it’s blacked out.

See for yourself.

My kids woke up so excited this morning for the first night of Hannukah and now yet again we have a festival where I’m very conflicted about whether it’s safe to take them to synagogue to celebrate. Communities shouldn’t have to live like this.

Neil is a big believer in free markets where reducing trade barriers & red tape improves prosperity.

But here he is saying that *raising* trade barriers & red tape has no effect.

So why believe in free markets if there's no difference with constrained markets?

In which the columnist's "I reckon" collides with the reporter's actual facts
On a purely factual point, Trevor Phillips’s column in the Times misrepresents our reporting in casting doubts on claims that there were more boys called Patel than Smith at Dulwich in 1980 (we did not report 1976 as the year it occurred). 1980 roll shows 13 Patels and 12 Smiths.

If you want British Jews who are pro-Palestine and anti-Occupation, Naamod is right there

I know a lot of fellow Jews personally who set up and/or organise with Naamod and they are very much part of the community and are very much not extremists

In absolutely horrible news I learned this morning that Hany was killed in an air strike- he was driving people from the North to the South when it happened. This is one of the last messages he sent me 💔

He leaves behind 8 kids, he was only 48 and he was very kind.

The Hamas attack on October 7 was a horrendous crime against humanity. But the only relationship between it and the even greater crimes against humanity being perpetrated in Gaza today is that it is being used as an excuse for what certain Israeli ministers and generals have long wanted to do.

I think it’s worth noting this piece generated the most unsubscribes I’ve seen in a while, and the newsletter version had the lowest open rate in many months. These horrors persist in part because too many people go to great pains to avoid them.

Good piece from the editor-in-chief of @businessgreen.bsky.social.

It's odd how little environmental policy (whether good or bad) has featured in assessments of Labour's first year.

If we're serious about making climate a major issue, we can't then ignore it when assessing the government's record.
It's been far from perfect, but the government's green efforts really have been one of the main bright spots in an otherwise pretty torrid first year for Labour. In fact, they've probable been better and more consequential than you think. www.businessgreen.com/news-analysi...
How climate action provided one of the few bright spots for Labour's first year in office
The consensus is the Labour government has had a disappointing year, but when it comes to the green economy real progress has been made
