Lovely systematic review from Emma Carter published yesterday from @lstmnews.bsky.social. Invasive BCG infection is tricky to manage - we were thinking about this for our research (more later) but I think has implications for clincial use too.

I think the omerta around Brexit needs to end. Labour are playing the Reform/far right game but they're (rightly IMO) sticking to the rules whereas oponents do not. What Labour (and the Lib Dems) need to do is change the game - highlight the failings of Brexit and grasp the nettle!
Labour: "We couldn't possibly begin negotiating with the EU to eventually rejoin. That would make the next GE all about Brexit."

Reality: "Yes, and so what? At the moment everything is about immigration, and you are LOSING very VERY badly indeed."

Looking happy about it! We’re just boarded on Eurostar going to Barcelona. Takes longer sure but the experience so much nicer than airports (+obvs climate considerations)
Train trip from Cambridge to Munich for #ESICMlives congress completed- night train from Paris to Munich, arriving with plenty of time to get our #AntimicrobialStewardship and #Sepsis precongress course organised and underway. 250kg of CO2 avoided and looking forward to the congress.

Patients on propofol in ICU often report negative & disturbing experiences, with distorted perceptions of reality, delusions & hallucinations.

Propofol is unlikely to achieve reliable unconsciousness and may contribute to a negative dying experience.

I know this is uncomfortable to admit, but there is a small area in England's second city where people are just not integrated with the rest of society. Many of them hold views that arguably go against British values.

Yes, we need to talk about the Tory conference in Manchester.
