In Los Angeles County… “64% support apartments on streets that primarily have single-family houses... 59% said yes to apartments in their own neighborhood.”

LA County politicians are out of step w/ their own constituents. Time for @governor.ca.gov to sign SB 79!

The mayor said she was pulling back on development to respect constituents' wishes. But survey data say residents want more homes everywhere.

Lowering the flags on 9/11 at the Guantanamo Bay McDonald's for Charlie Kirk is the most dril tweet thing that's ever happened
The flags were lowered last night around the base by order of President Trump after the killing of Charlie Kirk and will stay at half-staff on this U.S. outpost in southeast Cuba until sunset on Sunday.

it honestly seems pretty bad that the incoming California Senate leader is already sneaking poison pills into legislation to block housing in her district
A bill proposed Monday night, just days before the end of the legislative session, would punch a very small hole in a landmark housing law passed earlier this year that appears to apply to one (1) proposed apartment building in the incoming Senate leader's district.

This last-minute deal could stymie a new Santa Barbara apartment building
The 270-unit is proposed behind the city’s historic Mission, and in the district of incoming Senate president Monique Limón.

Councilmember Traci Park asked the state to suspend SB9 for the Palisades because adding duplexes "could lead to an unforeseen explosion of density."

Now LA Mayor Karen Bass has issued her own bad-faith statement in agreement arguing SB9 will "drastically further challenge ingress and egress"

"After weeks of tense negotiations with Gov. Gavin Newsom, California lawmakers on Monday passed two controversial bills that promise to make big changes to the state’s landmark environmental law to boost housing and clean energy projects."

California makes it easy and cheap to build new homes in the inland areas that will be over 100° today.

We make it difficult and expensive to build new homes near the coast, where it will be 78°.

Reserving temperate, climate-safe urban areas near the coast exclusively for the wealthy is unjust.
