Looking forward to learning all about how the right should move left to win elections tomorrow. They should maybe dye their hair pink, learn to love pronouns.

One of the fun things about buying a house is trying to figure out what the previous owners had planted. This one is still stumping me though as the tree it’s on has no leaves but its flower looks akin to a rhododendron or azalea.

The take I am most certain of that gets me in the most trouble is just "The reason homes are so expensive is because there are not enough of them, so we really really really need to build more of them."

📚 “The Class Ceiling" isn't just another inequality study - it's a masterclass in why privilege persists.

The numbers are eye-opening: 16% pay gap between privileged vs. working-class backgrounds in elite jobs.

i’m so tired of trainings using brene fucking brown. if you take three seconds to examine anything she says you find that it’s functionally meaningless. she sells herself as a researcher but none of her work is peer reviewed because there’s no way it could pass any scrutiny.

"The basic problem with the conservative discourse around “parents’ rights” is that it frames children as chattel—that is, as parents’ property. But children aren’t property. They’re people. And as people, they enjoy the same fundamental human rights as anyone else."
There's no such thing as 'parents' rights'
Parents have a right to raise their children in accordance with their own values, but they don't have the right to override their children’s own rights.
