She called out the UAE and thanked a MP for finally stating it openly, saying silence does nothing to stop the perpetrators. The next clip shows US Secretary of State Rubio impotently avoiding any mention of the UAE, even as he is asked about its role — and with recent reporting in the Guardian and WSJ again identifying it as RSF’s chief foreign backer. A thread below shows why Trump has great financial incentives to not criticize the Emirates. Clip below shows the Governor of Darfur, home to El-Fasher, where RSF have mass murdered thousands of Sudanese, calling UAE for its role in the genocide in Gaza. “Yes, our skin is Black, but we are part of this world.” With these words, Darfur governor Minni Arko Minnawi addressed displaced Sudanese families gathered in Al Ifadh camp, accusing global powers of enabling the violence that drove them away from their homes.

Min kanske hetaste take idag är att Mamdani inte är populist utan gammal hederlig politiker. Populism är inte samma som ”populär.” Han hade konkreta löften med en genomförandeplan och är anmärkningsvärd för att det kulturella förakt som definitionsmässigt följer med populism avväpnades.

Do I wish that Charlie Kirk had been murdered? No, absolutely not. I'm posting this because I simply believe that we need to have a clear understanding of who this man was.
