Aetna canceled its contract with UW Medicine. So many people just … cut off from care. I spent close to two hours trying to get an appointment ANYWHERE to check my IUD. I cannot tell you how fucked people who have Aetna are. I am calling the state insurance commissioner.

Today is the end of my 14 years at CDC. My part of the agency (the Office on Smoking & Health) was eliminated and every employee was fired. I loved my job and it was the pleasure of my life to work with such dedicated & brilliant colleagues at CDC (both in tobacco and during my Covid rotations).

Uber driver today had 335 UNREAD text messages. I told him he was getting a no stars rating for that to which he stared me in my eyeballs and said, deadpan, “I have a crazy girlfriend.” Back to 5 stars, my guy. 😆 we had a good laugh and man, people are kind and funny and laughter is 👌
