A welcome and kind nuisance
Soon enough, the entertainment industry will be like, hey where should all our music and movie stars go to promote their new stuff?

Here’s my take on why Trump was basically silent for several days: Gavin Newsom is getting to him. Mockery works and the only way to deflect it is to disappear.

Kansas City leaders have recently started to reimagine a future that repairs some of Highway 71's sins.

"Anybody who has ever tried to walk across the highway understands just how frustrating and challenging it is," Mayor Quinton Lucas has said. https://loom.ly/tXiwYQk
Highway 71 tore through Kansas City's Black neighborhoods. Can that damage be repaired?
Bruce R. Watkins Drive took three decades to build, and resulted in the destruction of 2,000 homes and the displacement of thousands of Black residents. Kansas City officials and longtime residents hope a new federal grant can reconnect the neighborhoods torn apart by Highway 71, but mending old wounds won’t be easy.

Why is it acceptable for the president to use taxpayer money to fly overseas and cut a ribbon at his own golf course?

Don’t normalize this abuse of office. It’s blatant corruption.

The Epstein story has an inescapable stench of prurience and antisemitism. And South Park––nihilistic both-siders and stand-ins for my generation's easy slide into fascism––getting under the skin of our cruel, vain, stupid president by stooping to exactly his level is a complicated win.

A reminder that after years of speaking out against Epstein and giving other survivors the courage to come forward, Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre died by suicide in April at the age of 41.

Let's not forget that there are real human tragedies behind everything we're discussing.
Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein's most prominent abuse survivors, dies by suicide
Other Epstein victims credited Giuffre with giving them the courage to speak out.

The only pastors that will go along with the new IRS interpretation of the Johnson Amendment will be ones that are already endorsing politicians and have never been in trouble for it, and ones that are in politically homogenous congregations where it’s safe to “mix politics and religion”.

I HATE seeing something cool on the gram, then not being able to find it again. It was a 3 piece punk rock band, female singer, against a concrete wall or in a big tunnel. Was loud and rad.
