Today has been quite snowy in CNY thanks to lake effect off of Lake Ontario. A day off from my grandkids = time to quilt. I assembled the first 3 rows I’ve completed (of 20) and am being kept company by Zara 😻 in my sewing room. I think we both miss our buddy Pete quite a bit. #quiltsky

This morning we are receiving our first snow of the fall. The roads are warm melting it, but it is cold enough to stick on the trees and grass. The forecast is for 5”-9” overnight tonight ❄️❄️❄️

I am very very sad to share that I had to say goodbye to Pete yesterday. His health had very rapidly deteriorated overnight such that he was in pain, scared, and unable to use the littler box or use his hind legs. I miss my best friend more than I can express. He shines brightly in my heart. #cats

My granddaughter helped bake another pan of delicious sour crème coffee cake from Sally’s Bakjng Addiction. It is a GREAT recipe!

Once a prolific sock knitter during faculty/building mtgs where I needed to focus, one day the school nurse discretely let me know that socks were on sale at Walmart. I said thanks, smiled, knowing I had $35 yarn in hand(2008). Current Zauberball150 socks in progress. Not my usual colors… #craftsky

I have two rows quilted on the Bargello and am liking the flow of the pantograph. I cranked up some tunes, checked my tension 3x for balance, and am feeling good about this one. Bonus- the focus required gives me a little peace from the ugly GOP destruction 🤬

Pete seems better today than yesterday- still cautious walking, but up more, seeking Zara’s company too, & wants pets😻😻

I finished quilting the two ‘The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt’ throws for the grandkids. Binding is sewn on, clipped, and waiting for the hand finishing of the turned binding.
Zara has quilt ESP and got herself up (!!! Big chonky 20lb cat !!!) and is now holding them down for me 😂😻

I am immersing myself in some very loud music with a great beat, getting back to a longarm project (ghost who was a quilt X2 for the grandkids) that has been on hold for almost two months, and trying to just get into ‘the zone’ my brain needs this week.

#whiskerswednesday came & went with serious concerns for Pete’s health. His abdomen was quite tender due to ongoing constipation- spine pain & meds interfering. He saw the vet today, had 2 more x-rays, a mineral oil enema 😬, subcutaneous fluids, & a laxative Rx. 🤞 I hope Pete feels better soon 😻

Happy belated #caturday from Pete and Zara. Both are having a sleepy Sunday morning. Pete is enjoying his new heated cat bed. Zara is perched on a cushion in an upstairs window.
