If a person is injured by a vaccine, they can apply for compensation through this program, and the bar for compensation is fairly low. VICP exists because of numerous superfluous lawsuits that had been filed against pharma companies, leading many to start to pull out of the market. 2/5

Because vaccine safety and availability is critical to the health and wellbeing of the people of the U.S., the government was unwilling to have them manufactured elsewhere. It's not nefarious, it's not a conspiracy, it's a public health strategy that has proven to be the right one. 3/5

In short, if RFK Jr. has always been angry that he can’t make money by suing vaccine companies. It has nothing to do with anyone’s health. If he ends this program, vaccine manufacturers will stop making vaccines in the U.S., and we will lose herd immunity quite quickly thereafter.
