I don’t know how to tell people this but more women/BIPOC/LGBTQ artists winning things and gaining popularity was not supposed to be a cute trend and then a return to normality. It was supposed to be progress that we continued making.

I dont have a problem w kids saying 6 7. They're kids let them be kids. Our generations had fads and slang that made no sense outside our generation.

I get the feeling that Ken Burns is like what the History Channel was like: simplified stories of very complex topics. Human beings are complex, and history is just stories of people.

So far there seems to be no real hint of dissenting voices among colonists in the pre-war period. Even Ann Hulton isn't recognized in the doc as the sister of Boston Customs Commissioner, and her letters make plain she is horrified by the rabble. #HATM

What if the real Zefram Cochrane is minority girl in a struggling community? DEI gives such individuals opportunities. There is too much selfishness in too many positions. DEI benefits all. White people are lifted up when ALL are lifted up.
