I’m not super knowledgeable but I’ve worked in homeless & housing services for many years in Los Angeles, and SOVA’s food banks are an excellent community resource
I’ve been very, very reticent to talk about this but: as a Reform Jew, I was raised with the expectation that US Jews support Israel financially. I struggled with how to make that match my values, and decided to focus on charities like NCFJW and SOVA instead.
Personally, as a Jew, I’m concerned the ADL is not capable of meeting the moment, because their concerns in this iteration are more with courting right wing Christians than protecting Jews.

Killings in the U.S. are dropping at a historic rate. Will anyone notice?
Homicides went up in 2020 and 2021 and are now rapidly coming back down. Violent crime nationwide hasn't increased. But the perception of a crime wave still colors U.S. politics.
