Mostly quirky stuff, mostly in Edinburgh. Occasional forays into Scottish rugby.
Today marks 41 years since the night in the Preservation Hall on Victoria Street when I chatted up the current Mrs Pete with the immortal line “I wonder if I could get my arm all the way round your waist”. 😂

Sign on the notice board of the Oxfam Music Shop in Stockbridge. That’s an entire band someone is looking for (the name has been removed from original photo).

When she was young my late mum would buy postcards from places she visited and write details of the visit on the back. Her and dad were married on 17th March 1951 in Alloa and stayed at the North British (X marks the room) on their way to their honeymoon. In Ripon for some reason.

Lothian Buses fulfilling that classic cliche. You wait ages for a bus then three turn up together.

I’m in the Castle Tavern in Inverness and they have Frank Zappa playing (Peaches En Regalia) 😀 Never heard Zappa in a pub before.

You guys love tins right?

Because boy do I got a tin for you!!

A still sealed tiny tin of Forth Rail Bridge paint. Great if you have a tiny bridge in need of a lick of paint, not so great if you have a large bridge to paint.

A new place for me in Central Edinburgh. The quiet garden at the end of the terrace above Victoria Street. I especially like the wee howff and roof garden you can see above one of the Grassmarket buildings.

I took my DSLR for a walk round the very peaceful Dean Cemetery yesterday. The autumn colours were fabulous. I was touched by the wee wooden cross with the poppy between all the stone monuments.
