When you're in Edinburgh, look up! This 6ft tall, gold-leafed "The Figure of Youth" right at the top of the Old College building was based on Edinburgh boxer and athlete, Anthony Hall. Sculpted in 1888, by John Hutchison 👍🏛️🍑 #MuseumBums

In 1902, Gustav Klimt took part in "The Beethoven Exhibition" interpreting B's music in art, in Vienna. Klimt's huge 21m long mural ends with this scene, depicting the verse:
"Joy, thy purest spark divine. This kiss to all the world!" 😁

This memorial was erected outside the Victoria Rooms in Bristol, in 1905, sculpted by Onslow Whiting. It commemorates the 260 soldiers from the Gloucestershire Regiment who died during the Boer War in South Africa. 👍🏛️🍑 #MuseumBums

Local urban legend says (so probably not true but a fun story) the Freiburg Münster's 13th century stonemasons were fired by the Mayor, but told to finish the gargoyles before they left, so this one is pointing towards Freiburg City Hall 👍🏛️🍑 #MuseumBums
