If you have a Reform councillor now, monitor their attendance at council meetings. Let everyone know all the times they can’t be bothered to show up, which will be a hell of a lot if their dear leader is anything to go by.

Few things certain anymore. But expect over the next four years almost every one of the US’s ‘allies’ will end up saying something very similar.

The only question is how long it takes.

Sending a Russian dissent back to Russia to be tortured and/or killed perfectly encapsulates this loathsome administration’s lack of American values.
Kseniia Petrova, a Russian scientist at Harvard Medical School, was detained at Logan Airport after returning from France and sent to an ICE detention in Louisiana, The Insider reports.

A big critic of Putin and the war in Ukraine, she may now be deported to Russia.

Really feel like I’m losing my mind: government OBVIOUSLY cannot punish an individual law firm for hiring someone it disfavors! It’s ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?

It’s important to note we don’t have a lot of information on exactly what happened here. But the petty, small America depicted here — intolerant of dissent and swollen with entitlement to be free of it — is very much Trumpist America, so it’s credible.

Under this theory, Marco Rubio can expel Canadians who say “you should stop threatening to annex Canada.”
Leavitt: "Secretary Rubio reserves the right to revoke the visa of Mahmoud Khali. Under the immigration and nationality act, the secretary of state has the right to revoke a green card or a visa for individuals who are adversarial to the foreign policy and national security interests of the USA."

Advice welcome.

- I think this may be a strong example of Twitter failing in a reasonable expectation to provide me with an equal service (Equality Act 2010): the reporting system allowed this + actual staff ignored messages about it.

- The identity of this poster has also now been made public

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the goal is to make it so unpleasant to work for government that nobody will do it unless they have no other choice. These requirements will keep getting dumber and more arbitrary because that's their purpose.
This morning, HUD instituted a policy of searching bags and putting everyone through a metal detector. By 8 a.m., employees had already been waiting in line for an hour, a HUD source says.
