Unqualified DOJ lawyers appearing in front of federal judges is a good thing IMO

The competent fascists are worse

I want this to be true, but many outside government don’t realize how quickly hiring has sped up. It went from about 90 days to work through cert lists to 15. Which leading to more unqualified people being onboarded.
There are only so many hours in the day, and only so many sycophants willing to work for government salaries

Every hour DOJ wastes going through hiring, onboarding, federal court admission, learning how to not fuck up, etc is an hour they can't spent doing repugnant shit

Imagine loudly saying “hey do you see ICE brutalizing people? That’s where your healthcare subsidies went” which is the easiest possible thing to say. Not even controversial

Something to also consider in these discussions is that the birth rate has been falling since 1800 across much of the West. The Baby Boom was a break from the 1800-1930 trend, but the falling rate of the last 50 years has been a return to the trend.

In interactions with authority, civilians are the ones who usually wind up dead, and unlike authorities, civilians are not trained for armed conflict. Civilians have the more justifiable claim to fear—a FAR more justifiable claim.
