With Ovechkin breaking the NHL goal scoring record, I think it is important to remind ourselves how crucial he is to the propaganda machine Putin has set up in Russia.
There’s a big difference between him not speaking out against Putin (which is fine considering how Russia can be towards families) and Ovechkin being a hardent and blazing Putin supporter.
