I understand that people find the goal record being broken to be exciting but this attempt by so many to downplay Ovechkins involvement in Russian politics is sad to see

There’s a big difference between him not speaking out against Putin (which is fine considering how Russia can be towards families) and Ovechkin being a hardent and blazing Putin supporter.
