Watching “Farscape” and just finished episode two. This show is so singular. The Jim Henson puppets, rich worldbuilding, sensuality, weirdness, and astounding acting makes this show one-of-one. Undoubtedly, my favorite sci-fi series alongside “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”.

Hot take, but I actually like the red uniforms.
Wish they were... color-coded tho. 😅

Of all our great science-fiction universes, #StarTrek is the one that shows us conquering the problems we have on planet earth. On a day that fills me with dread, I look to that optimistic vision of humanity's future for hope.

Something they would hate: Editing a newsletter that promotes comics by diverse creators and about diverse characters

Something I love: Watching Star Trek and reminding myself that a kinder future is possible (actually they'd prob hate that too but this isn't about them anymore, it's about ME)
I am not watching one single thing produced by or orchestrated by that administration. That's their propaganda. Why would I make it easy on them?

Inviting everyone to join me on Jan 20th in doing one thing you love, and one thing they would hate.

Joy & spite, y'all. Joy and spite.

I grew up with Seven of Nine, and I don't just mean that I watched a lot of Voyager as a kid. When I was younger, I felt like a fish out of water most of the time. When I put the word "gay" to that feeling, I was horrified, especially since I lived in a conservative, deeply religious area.

Every time a Trump supporter claims he’s a great man, I remember George Carlin:

The guy spend a chunk of his childhood in an internment camp because our government thought he might be dangerous because he was of Japanese descent. He was also gay when you were forced to hide it. It’s been much worse for a lot of people in our history. George knows what he’s talking about.

This sentiment cannot be repeated often enough.

Writers, we cannot control what people say in reviews. They're not for us. Control what you can control, and that's your craft and your storytelling. Anything else is just noise getting in your way.
Don't read reviews of your own work. They aren't for you. They're for your audience.
if u see this, quote-post with your tips for writers that no one gives anymore because they seem obvious (even though they're not)

Uplifting diverse opinions is vital, but let's be clear: fascists can't be reasoned with. They thrive on violence and fear—and they don't deserve safety or normalization. The only response to a fascist? Punching a fascist.

A new version of my Star Trek logo montage, since people seemed to enjoy it.

I just brightened things up a bit and added in a few more oddball logos for variety. One day I do want to make a more comprehensive timeline of all these!

I’m starting to think that the longer we shield Trump voters from the worst economic outcomes, the worse things actually will get.

Sometimes people just have to find out the hard way, sad as that is. Yes, we will suffer. But at least they will learn that elections do have consequences.
