My books are inherently political. I'm gay. My whole existence has been stigmatized and politicized, so I turned that into rage-and-spite-fueled writing. My series finale is ESPECIALLY political. The first chapter is a scathing indictment of the US healthcare system.

I spent 3 years writing The Bleeding Blue Sky with the explicit concern of a second Trump administration. If you don’t have the consent of the people you govern, you’re just a dictator. Even if I agreed with the policies, a government CANNOT function without its citizens leading.

Ya know, I wrote a book where the main antagonist ran for office only after his house representative resigns after it’s found out he was teaching s=% education on YouTube using sock puppets. Then he uses a supervolcano and vampires to become president.

A child at the airport was telling me about where to catch the big fish in Ocarina of Time. I was of two minds that are not mutually exclusive:

So I realized that I was missing a crucial few lines from this series finale. At some point, they got jettisoned in a rewrite a while ago. I just found them lurking in a file...FROM 3 YEARS AGO.

When millennials finally take over this heap (if anything is left), there needs to be an employee bill of rights:
-4 day work week (32 hours)
-Illegal to use “soft layoff” methods
-Hybrid or remote required where feasible.
-C-suite may not earn more than 6 figures.
