Work on that transition from ‘aspiring *insert art role*’ to living that role.

Aspiring artist? Nah, make that art. You’re an artist.

Aspiring writer? Write that thing. You’re a writer.

Just do it. I believe in you.

Lunchtime #StarTrek today was #TNG season 2 opener "The Child." Yeah, skipping the really cringy parts, the B plot about transporting scientific samples was well done. I can see that easily fitting into a #StarTrekAdventures mission or episode, giving several PCs interesting things to do.
December 18, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Just finished a rewatch of #TNG season 1, and I'm appreciating again how consistent parts of the season were, and how much better it got as the season went on. The actors were more comfortable with their characters and each other, the writing was improving, and the thing was starting to gel.

Lunchtime Trek was #TNG season 1 finale "The Neutral Zone." Real A plot B plot going on here with some crossover. Lots of stuff to think about from a #StarTrekAdventures perspective for a crew. Like, what are some of the standing orders Starfleet or a captain might put into place?

Thread time.

Lunchtime Trek was TNG “Conspiracy.” Some interesting stuff in here that can be pulled into the #StarTrekAdventures game I’ll have to unpack at some point.

But wow, poor Remmick. #LLAP

There was a dollar cinema in between my college and place of work, and for about three months, my schedule worked out that I had several hours in between classes and work, so I would go to the cinema and watch Braveheart for a dollar. So I went and saw it 26 times. #FREEDOM
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

For the writers, editors, publishers: editing, proofreading, and related services. Lots of terms, sometimes used interchangeably. I don’t know that I make sense of it all, but I offer some insights. What do you expect from editors and proofreaders? #writersky
