The South Korean police interrogated PARASITE star Lee Sun-hyun for 19 hours on Christmas Eve. During this time, he requested that a lie detector test to prove his innocence re: drug use. This a.m., he was dead of an apparent suicide. My views on how the media/police/netizens played a part in this.
Rest in Peace, Lee Sun-kyun

@TheKoreaHerald: The tragic death of actor Lee Sun-kyun last week has ignited criticism against the police for not complying with its own press guidelines, and the media for reckless coverage of private details that most people do not want to, or need to, know.

We're getting degraded products, degraded services, and more hassle but we're paying the same amount of money for all of it or more. *THAT* is why people say the economy is bad. We keep paying money for things that are poor quality, and when we get ripped off we don't get our money back. The end.

Australia votes "No" in a referendum to recognizing Indigenous people in the constitution and creating an Indigenous body to advise the government on policies that affect them.

“For First Nations people, it will be seen as a rejection of reconciliation by Australia’s non-Indigenous majority.”
This is incredibly saddening and depressing outcome.
"The proposal, to recognize Indigenous people in the constitution and create an Indigenous body to advise government on policies that affect them, needed a majority nationally and in four of six states to pass"

Steve Reich was born OTD in 1936. His "Music for 18 Musicians" is my very favorite piece of modern composition. It's oceanic, beyond psychedelic, like overhearing God's thoughts or the permutations of DNA. If you ever have a chance to see it performed, don't miss it. youtu.be/71A_sm71_BI?...
