Seat belts, everyone 💚

If you’re on the struggle bus, please remember your seat belt (your seat belt is self-care). It is NOT selfish to prioritize your mental health, take care of you.

Visit your local library or favorite bookstore, watch your comfort show, drink some water, pet all the dogs…

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

Zero-click spyware created by an Israeli company (a Pegasus rival) was used against some 90 “journalists and members of civil society” via WhatsApp by an unknown entity.

That spyware is in the process of being sold to a U.S. private equity firm for $900M.

WhatsApp says journalists and civil society members were targets of Israeli spyware

So criticizing a government for bombing, r-ing, and blatantly m-ing innocent children and adults is anti-semitic but throwing a Nazi salute at political events is just an awkward and ironic gesture? Cool. Just checking.

I wonder what the most Unbelievable But Someone Would Believe It thing we can blame DEI for is.

Right now I’m at coral bleaching but I’m currently accepting submissions.

Donold is blaming a plane crash that killed 67 people on “DEI” with zero evidence.

He is attempting to use racism to deflect from the fact it is HIS fault. He had just removed 100 FAA senior officials.

It’s been 11 days and there are 67 bodies in the Potomac in Washington DC because of him.

I bring this up almost every day. If you haven’t seen Idiocracy, watch it! It’s an uncomfortably close blueprint for what we’re in and heading towards.
I know comparisons to Idiocracy are overdone, but come on.

I, Caramba, look forward to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's first reported public display of drunkenness and debauchery. It must surely be imminent. And we must applaud it. Why should a man have to change his entire life merely to serve in some public office?

If big title video game prices go up to $80 or even $100 I will never buy one unless it's on sale.

There are so many indie games out there for a fraction of the price that are just as much fun, if not more.

I would like to see some reporting on the ICE preparation timeline because if you're going to have agents ready to roll in this many places on day four of a new administration that indicates prior planning with people who would've been reporting to someone who wasn't their official boss yet

I love the energy but…

1) Rednote was around before the TikTok ban peaking and has lots of hard working developers trying to prep it for incoming Americans (a very difficult task!)

2) Musk is not buying TikTok. Bite Dance already confirmed that it’s “pure fiction” that Musk is buying TikTok.
Tiktok poured tons of time money and energy into trying to appease lawmakers, but still is facing a ban because of the company’s ties to China.

not sure how elected officials didn’t see this coming… Chinese Tiktok clones are now at the top of the app stores, with none of that work or history
