I'm losing track of how many things are going on at once atm. Data erasure, trans erasure, DEI erasure and scapegoating, Musk installing lackeys (complete with fold-out beds, again) at OPM *and* GSA *and* Treasury, mass firings and replacement with yes-men at FBI, whatever happened to FAA…

In family news, my stepdaughter has bought the business that is the (former) Avenue 47 Cafe in Birkenhead!

She'll be turning it into a Korean street food shop - but first, there's a *lot* of work to do.

Found a 1991 Birkenhead Transport timetable during demolition last night

No Te Huia during *any* school holidays this year.

If I wanted to kill the service, after looking at its most popular times, this is what I'd do too.

We're on the cusp of a transformational change in Auckland and the lack of vision is so goddamn frustrating.
Auckland Council keeps trying to sabotage its own multibillion-dollar rail upgrade
We’re spending $5.5bn on the City Rail Link. The council keeps trying to stop people accessing its stations or building things nearby.

Getting a ticket without reservation and traveling 259 miles in 2 hours (equal to SF to Pismo Beach) feels way more like freedom than driving that same distance for 3 hours and 40 mins in the US.

Who is this? Seen in the CarJam photo feed today.

Plate is fake by the way, BLH727 is registered to a 1994 RAV4 which this clearly is not.

Also been wrongly attributed to BLA727 (a 1995 Nissan Terrano) which this clearly isn't either.
