Just heard the Kristi Noem "get out of our country" ad on sports radio which makes me think these ads are more targeted towards keeping white men 25-54 mad about immigrants more than anything else.

There is no “bipartisanship” with authoritarianism. You either fight or you surrender. Schumer and his allies decided to surrender.
If they wouldn’t fight now, they certainly won’t fight over the debt ceiling later.
The only power we “had” was the Senate filibuster and we don’t even have that.
