I am often one of the most liberal/leftist people I meet I real life, but I largely eschew interacting with far left politics online. One of the biggest reasons is the idealism of young adulthood is exhausting, also I am not engaged in posturing (posting) for social capital in the same ways.

The black Pom is named Buster he’s only gunna be with us for a little while. The tan Chihuahua is so scared as to be hard to adopt. He will be a pretty good dog for somebody someday but it’s gunna be a while.

Pretty happy with my three chevron wide walkway I am going to continue with the running bond to the left and fill in with earth around the walkway.

The unsightly trench finally began its conversion to an attractive chevron pattern walkway. We found the stones we removed to make room for this more than a year ago.

The images and stories coming out of Chicago are getting pretty chilling. I wonder how far we are from people rioting in response to the police riots. So far the protestors have stayed peaceful in the face of provocation. Can’t stay that way for ever.

Say what you will about extra-legal drone strikes of American citizens during the Obama administration, triple tapping weddings and our assassination by drone programs. At least we managed to present legal arguments stronger than the torture memo in support of them.

As a person of a certain age from the Bay Area, I remember when they stopped talking about jumpers on the six o’clock news. The number of bay bridge suicides slowed down considerably, maybe this applies to all sorts of irrational violence.

A little end of summer update. First photo is peanut our elderly chihuahua. Second is Chewbacca our current foster. Third is the pear tree that I was going to cut down last winter but never got around to it doing the best it ever has in our three seasons with it.

it's really odd to have lived through "overpopulation is one of the greatest risks to human society" and "low birth rates is one of the greatest risks to human society" in the same lifetime

At the risk of alienating some humans I always sort of enjoy the bot followers. The algorithm certainly thinks I have a type. Has real wizard of oz please don’t move the curtain vibes.

Living in Murdertown, USA I think gives me a useful perspective on “crime” in Washington D.C.. It is only about white people being scared of black people: Chicago, Washington D.C., Wilmington. Ask yourself one question, if the answer is no, you’re safe, do you sell or buy Heroin?

I wonder if Mr. Musk is going to be more less successful than Mr. Perot. People have already pointed out that “politically homeless centrist” is just code for code for conservative with technocratic tendencies, and racism.

Man pretty wild, Iraq and Iran. I wonder if Korean unification through war is on the menu this life or not. Just for all our sakes could you hold some cards in reserve. As much as I love new osint battle damage reports let’s let other militaries show their hands.

Can we all agree now that regime destabilization operations and whenever we support police states, the tactics and consequences will always return upon us as well. Machismo driven kleptocracy to support a police state just followed the displaced people it created.

This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.
Vice-President JD Vance confirms he has joined BlueSky.

Kinda figured that Musk was trying to be a much less attractive version of Gary Oldman’s character from The Professional, somehow creepier too.

Last week, Simon got his forever home and this week Garfunkel got his forever home. Our third successfully fostered dog learning a lot about dogs and ourselves.
