I don't understand why trump closed down re: epstein rather than addressing everything directly. If he came out with "yeah, I fucked those girls. Did you see them? You would've fucked them too!" his brain dead supporters would be like "he's right! I would've!" and things would've moved on.

My old neighbor was like that. I went to his home exactly once and decided never to do so again because he indicated he answered the door with a gun. In a small, sleepy town. We were so glad when new folks moved in.
Still thinking about this story. Imagine how cooked your brain has to be on Fox News -- how terrified you have to be, every day in your isolated suburban castle -- to start *shooting* when you see brown people at your door, before the door is even open. We're such a nation of terrified cowards.

Since people are saying dem leadership needs to go: you can always change your party affiliation as a form of protest. They must keep tabs on these numbers, and a mass exodus would send a message that will be seen by more than just senators.

This is bullshit and polling firms should stay out of it. It doesn't matter how people feel. There are governing boards that have looked at medical evidence and made decisions based on that, not on a bigoted population's feels.

I've been harping on using FSA funds because workers lose $4 BILLION in unspent funds each year. I don't think many people even know about the FSA store as just one example of a simpler way to spend some of that money. Use it for others if you don't need it yourself.

He's not an aberration, and we shouldn't see him as such. He's a continuation of policy Republicans have been working at longer than I've been alive (and in not young).
Yeah, this is what I wrestle with -- a college freshman today was only nine when Trump first ran for president. They've grown up with him as a baseline, not an aberration.
It's odd for me to realize that my first-year undergraduates are at an age where they don't really remember that there was a form of US politics prior to Donald Trump. For them, Trump is not an aberration from the normal course of political discourse, but just how US politics is done.
