We lost an absolute legend today. She impacted the gaming industry and people's lives for decades. ❤️❤️❤️
Rebecca Heineman passed today.

She was a unique talent, to understate things. Anyone could see that in her long list of accomplishments.

But we are not just our catalogs of retail products. She was a force of nature, a light in the darkness.

This is an unimaginable sadness.

Biamp (who can't be bothered to be on here) is buying up ClearOne's intellectual property. I guess it's just a matter of time before they sue Shure (also not on here, lame).

Howie is consistently one of the best things in my feed. Great teacher. It's nice to always be learning and sometimes it's mathematical.

I guess the upside, if there is one, is Perplexity won't own Chrome.
BREAKING: Google just dodged a $2.5T breakup. A federal judge rejected the DOJ's request to force the tech giant to spin off Chrome and Android products.

Oh boy, here it comes!
JPMorgan CIO Lori Beer told the New York Times she has shut down hundreds of GenAI projects. Enterprises that entered GenAI pilots with dreams of transformation are now retreating, having discovered ballooning costs and marginal productivity gains.

We wrote a newsletter about USB-C and why you should knock it off with the HDMI cables in conference rooms.

Come at us. Or just read the dang thing.

We propose that it's time to retire the HDMI and USB-A cables at the table and replace it with USB-C, a format every user now knows.

LLMs can only be successful as long as people continue to produce content for it to learn off of. I'm this close to mailing out a paper newsletter to not feed it.

The US, and especially Florida, is not popular or safe for some members of our industry. AVIXA, as DailyDOOH notes, does not like to highlight negative aspects of IC. I would love to see transparency in the process of changing the future of IC, not just one directed by the largest manufacturers.

This is really relavent to any industry. When you can have a specific, purpose built tool it will outpace generalized AI features. Consider this with AV gear - as you're having AI pushed on you, know there are probably tools that efficiency solve your problem (hello RDL!) #avtweeps #avmsp
Any use of a humanoid robot at a car factory, whether Hyundai or Tesla, is purely a publicity stunt. Purpose-made robots are 10x faster and 100x more reliable.

So I'm wearing a bluetooth camera and microphone around my neck all day? Didn't we do this with all the other wearable tech and it creeped people out from a privacy perspective?

More importantly, will it burn my skin off like the Humane pin?
Wearing something around your neck is not a use case.

Google is attempting to release Starline, this time renamed as Beam (because... I have no idea). There's still no launch date, but HP has signed on to provide hardware. Given the initial costs, I'm not confident this will be reasonably priced (and there will certainly be subscriptions). #avtweeps
