How are you doing with rest?

Rest is more than sleep It is about health and restoring life. Counseling can help you develop a rhythm of rest.

This post is based on Saundra Dalton-Smith’s “The 7 types of rest that every person needs” post that is a part of TED’s “How to Be a Better Human” series.

I love that you can sit in the sun and the kiss of it’s warmth can linger for hours. (or maybe that's tequila)

Silence as an intervention.

A counselors uses silence to slow a moment down. This silence creates space to process, in the moment, deep feelings that live underneath the surface. These feelings lay silently, but not without impact. To be resolved they need to be unearthed.
