Everyone arguing over whether rank & file military people should disobey illegal orders and of course they should. But why is all this burden on them? When will they start arresting and prosecuting the people who are consistently, blatantly giving the illegal orders?

I agree it's sickening, but the use of the word "aftermath" seems a bit of denial. Political violence seems far from over.
In the aftermath of all the political violence that took place this year, this is sickening.

Does that estimate include the pounds lost by those who will starve due to loss of jobs, SNAP benefits, or incarceration in the new concentration camps?

These big cross country marches held on specific dates every few months or so aren't doing the job. They are like pep rallies - important, but they aren't the game. A shutdown is a game you can win.
