Canada: Let's Keep All The Pieces Together. The Quilt For Canada 125 is as relevant today as in 1992. She's headed to Quilt Canada '25 in Mississauga June 18-20.

Feeling a bit patriotic these days, so here's my "Quilt For Canada 125" project from '92. Made by me & 3,000 Canadians across the country. 15 x 17 feet. I'll show it and talk about it at this year's Canadian Quilters Association conference and show. It needs a permanent home before I get much older.

Born today 1812, Charles Dickens. His writings influenced many social & policy changes – improving the Poor Laws, workhouse, prison system, exposed the abusive Yorkshire schools, lampooned courts and the bureaucracy, warned exactly how inequities create mobs. Caused change - with a feather pen.

Love your fabrics! I played with that design too, but had to adjust sizes to fit with some vintage cat heads fabric. Bordered it all with Cat's Cradle blocks. Added 2 more borders beyond that and quilted it with paw prints, but never got around to taking a pic of it finished.
