I would welcome news agencies utilizing their backbone and telling Admin to go find other other stooges to help legitimize and sane-wash their bullshit. If no one but BREITBART or OAN wanna be there, then it’ll be on Admin to convince the country it isn’t just bullshitting everyone.
Consider the possibility that the Trump White House WANTS this fight. Wants journalists to act like opponents instead of observers. If the entire press pool skipped a Trump photo op in solidarity with The AP, wouldn't the White House welcome Breitbart and One America News to take their places?
And, are you or your colleagues boycotting covering the WH as a protest?

This is so maddening. It’s not a privilege to be *shat on!*
I’m not gonna claim to be the premiere lawyer on BlueSky—but in questioning an opponent, one thing to watch for is not to toss so many softballs that they’ll nail out of the park nonstop with self-serving bullshit answers. Too many agencies approach this stuff like it’s a privilege to be bullshat…

Imagine being proud of scaring and bullying a captive audience of schoolchildren.
N.J. teachers wear ‘Gulf of America’ shirts to school. Controversy ensues.
One teacher took to social media to say the t-shirts were extremely offensive.

Normal U.S. Attorneys do not write like this. This is servile and buffoonish, light-years outside how federal prosecutors normally act. Ed Martin has gone Full Renfield. He’s a confessed lackey with vast federal prosecutorial power.
Interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin says he will open an inquiry following a criminal “referral” of certain individuals by Elon Musk.

“If people are discovered to have broken the law or even acted simply unethically, we will chase them to the end of the Earth to hold them accountable,” Martin writes.

Ah—THEY’VE been irresponsive
Per Politico's Meredith Lee Hill: Speaker Johnson just now said Dem leader Jeffries “seemed to be trying to set up some sort of a government shutdown”

“We have been negotiating in good faith, trying to get a topline number. But so far as I know, they’ve been unresponsive the past two days or so."

You can’t pardon crazy shit like this—then believably claim you represent “law and order.”
Judge Amy Berman Jackson has formally dismissed the case of Jan. 6 defendant DJ Rodriguez, who drove a taser into the neck of MPD officer Michael Fanone and had been sentenced to 12 years in prison

"Michael Fanone's heroism will never be moot," she says.

FECA is sloppy, and has all kinds of problems. One problem is that it’s silent on removal. It *does* provide for expired term holdovers to be replaced via Pres nom. and Sen confirm. It *does not* provide for unilateral removal by Pres., without replacement.
Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

“No soldiers by the U.S. would be needed!"

That means Trump:
1) Was bullshitting all along and only folded when pressed by SA, Egypt, Jordan and other countries (and OPEC); OR
2) Is bullshitting with this statement, and plans on providing the entire US arsenal to Israel to “just clean out” Gaza.
Trump says no US soldiers needed in Gaza, US would take over after war
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Israel would turn the Gaza Strip over to the United States after the fighting ends and that no U.S. soldiers would be needed there.

Trump to rename “Mount Everest” to “Mount Rushmore II”
I’m sure this really happened. We don’t give a shit if you put Trump on Rushmore - I personally think it’s pathetically hilarious that MAGA cares so much about this. If only you cared as much about your constituents. Tattoo his face on your forehead, we couldn’t care less.
