The marketing for Life of Chuck led me to believe it would be insipid schlock about a dying child inspiring adults to be better people. I wasn’t totally wrong, but luckily it is not about a sacrificial lamb, and is in fact a pretty OK movie, certainly worth it to see in theaters.

Just finished the canceled Hulu show Death & Other Details. We need to give diverse shows room to grow. It would have been enuf to have queerness, aging bodies, bdsm, & @rahulkohli13.bsky.social as a romantic lead finally acting his age. It also had creative stylistic choices for storytelling!
