okay from the wording of "sequel" and not just "another part" i think there's a sequel to "holding back has made me ill" somewhere. it just hasn't fully cemented itself in my head what it'd be about yet bc i haven't quite finished the first story.

I technically have some sequels (like loose ones) but I think doing a sequel to “use me” or “surrender” would be fun. Like the morning after to see what Hongjoong and Seonghwa get up to. How they are in the morning together would be so sweet

Rabbit Rabbit was supposed to be the start of a trilogy but uh...brain fried. I'd like to have something short & domestic for a Dangers Untold sequel but again, brain. Spider/Fly has a holiday themed sequel that never got finished.

wip wednesday of the woosang argument that hurt my heart to write

"We wanted to break down the system, not do the same bullshit in a different dress. Are we going to start overlooking betas now? Do you want to beat the shit out of the beta that disappeared on me? Where does it stop, Yeosang?" Wooyoung asked, voice more calm as if knew he was dealing with something volatile. Yeosang wanted them to love him again, wanted to feel like himself again. But what he wanted didn't matter. "Do you know how hard it is?" The words escaped him before he could hold them back, leaking sluggishly like blood from an old, half scabbed-over wound. "People talk about me like I'm not human and look at me like I'm either an obstacle or an opportunity. I have to keep them safe, clothed, fed, happy, and all the while I have to make sure to stay alive because three — three — other territories want to bury a knife in my chest. I have to stand here and pretend like I have all the answers because if I falter for even a second someone will either kill me or half our territory will lose faith in us. So, excuse the fuck out of me if I'm a little irrational these days. What happened had nothing to do with that man being an alpha and everything to do with him being attractive and willing, and I don't appreciate any insinuation otherwise." Yeosang let his words simmer in the room for a moment, waiting to see if any of his council would have anything to say. When they both avoided his gaze and nothing but shuffling was heard from outside, he released a barely audible, incredulous scoff. He was grateful when the knob in his hand turned and he was able to slip out the door and into the empty hallway.

Yeosang, who had been leaning against a barrel next to Jake, noticed Mingi’s appearance and strode over to him, his usual aloofness absent from his face. “We’ll be passing through the Bereslis Depths later this morning. You and the others will want to each collect a rope, and secure yourself to something. A mast, the railing, somewhere below deck. Wherever you prefer, as long as it won’t easily come undone.” Mingi must have looked concerned, because Yeosang gave him a tight smile and continued. “You’ll have nothing to worry about,” he assured, tilting his head in what Mingi believed was an attempt to look at ease, but Mingi could feel the tension radiating off of him. “Captain Choi is an exceptional musician. As long as we are quiet, we will pass through without incident.” Mingi’s mind whirled. Sirens. They could lure you to your death with simply their voices. Some were told to have voices so beautiful that nothing could keep you from joining them and drowning a watery death. Not even ropes. “Mingi,” Yeosang said, bringing him back to focus. “We’ve sailed through siren waters many, many times. I assure you, it will be alright. If it sets you more at ease, we have clay you can use to block your ears. Though as long as Captain Choi plays well, not a single singing voice will be heard.”

Seonghwa soothing Hongjoong after he wakes up from a nightmare.

He was hardly fit to function on his own during moments like these, forget having to stand in front of a room of his members and Pirates and issue directions and rattle oft plans that put them all at risk. His fingers trembled where they clenched Seonghwa's shirt. Hongjoong slipped one hand underneath the fabric, yearning for the feeling of Seonghwa's skin on his. With his palm splayed out on Seonghwa's lower back near his narrow waist, Hongjoong exhaled. The natural warmth of his body was soothing. He leaned his head in closer, the pointed tip of his nose brushed against Seonghwa's, mobility limited by Seonghwa's hands still on his face wiping at the last few teary streaks. Hongjoong's crying had subsided, leaving him tired and more hollow than he'd felt in months. Two emotional breakdowns within twenty-four hours was far more than his body could take. It was a lot to throw on Seonghwa, too. Hongjoong was too aware of that, but Seonghwa showed no signs of leaving. His thumbs continued their comforting pattern of swiping over his cheeks. Hongjoong untwined his other hand from around Seonghwa to cover Seonghwa's, threading their fingers together. "Thank you." "You don't need to thank me," Seonghwa said. "I'm glad you told me. I know it's not always easy for you, but I'm always here to listen." Hongjoong sniffled. "You're too good to me."
