So Hongjoong doesn't think, in the thin grey light of the morning, that anything is different until feeling starts to trickle up into his mind from the rest of his body.

It's hot, and it's hot because San has his entire self pressed into Hongjoong's back. Chest against his shoulders, knees stacked, hips snug. He has one arm around Hongjoong's waist, and when he starts, mortified, the motion only seems to have the effect of stirring San enough to pull him tighter, the flex of his arm squeezing Hongjoong through both of their bedclothes.

A birthday #WIPWednesday featuring chapter two of my Don’t Stop fic and Matz yearning

The space allowed Hongjoong a moment to let his eyes carve over Seonghwa's body, his long legs, narrow waist accentuated by his shirt tucked into his pants. His hair was a little messy from his hands, but Seonghwa still looked as intoxicating as ever. Beautiful. Regal, almost, in how he carried himself with perfect posture, all elegance and grace.
He started to walk back and caught Hongjoong's gaze raking over him, meeting him with a small smile.
"What are you looking at?" Seonghwa asked as he
stepped back in between Hongjoong's legs.
"You." It was simple, moments like these. When they were both stripped back with little holding them apart. Sate in this private little world they created.
Even with one good eye, Hongjoong could see the splash of red on Seonghwa's cheeks. He reached a hand out to feel his skin, to see if it was as warm to the touch as he thought. Tilting his head, he tapped his nose into Seonghwa's, breathing in his air before he sealed their lips together once more.

To Mingi’s shock, the instant his arms went around Yunho he melted against Mingi, pushing his face into the curve of Mingi’s neck as he released a rough breath. His hands curled against Mingi’s shoulder blades, reminding Mingi very abruptly that they were both still naked from the waist up. Yunho’s skin was so soft, the softest thing Mingi had ever touched. He kept his hands light, because if he relaxed them he worried he wouldn’t let go.

He fits so easily against me. Mingi couldn’t help his traitorous, useless thoughts.

“Thank you,” Yunho whispered again, his mouth warm and damp at Mingi’s jaw. His hands flexed over Mingi’s shoulders.

Mingi squeezed him tighter, said, “Of course,” without meaning to.

“You didn’t—I know the flight isn’t short—”

“You’ll be my husband in a week. This is the least I could do.” He turned his head and spoke the words into the silky fall of Yunho’s hair.

The pain grows excruciating as he swims, as though tearing through every part of him; he knows now it is not from his head, but his heart. It is a rising scream, writhing in his chest. A bitter scent already taints the water, too familiar yet now inescapable, flooding his senses in dizzying delirium--

He claws his way to the surface, gasping for relief. Only the cries of those left behind greet him.

Hongjoong follows suit, gasping likewise but for air; he glances from the distant dock to Seonghwa, his gaze urgent even in the cover of dark. "You must flee, Seonghwa. Go, before you're discovered--"

His words pass through Seonghwa without purchase. He must flee. He must flee. He reaches out blindly, nails digging into fabric, his body trying to choke on nothing. He hears a voice disappear, blinking out of existence. And then another.

Distantly, he feels Hongjoong sling an arm around his back, pulling him along as he swims for the both of them. The silence grows, and he can only listen.

There is another sensation, beneath the pain, steadily rising like an incoming tide; it murmurs of shell-strewn shallows and swift cold currents and salt pools far in the deep, seeping under Seonghwa's skin and filling every space it can find. It is as though the entire sea is trying to pour into him, and it is every bit as unbearable.
