When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

BARTIROMO: What are you expecting the president's economic message to be?

The rule of law isn't holding.

A 19 yr old Babson College student who's lived in the US since she was 7 was grabbed as she traveled home for Thanksgiving.

A fed. judge issued an emergency order prohibiting her removal from MA, but ICE deported her to Honduras anyway.

Three powerful businessmen—two Americans and a Russian—hunched over a laptop in Miami Beach last month, ostensibly to draw up a plan to end Russia’s long and deadly war with Ukraine.
Make Money Not War: Trump’s Real Plan for Peace in Ukraine

Really important to stress that the Crown Jewels of the US higher education system were never the Ivies or elite SLACs (other countries have equivalents of these) but the well-funded, large, cheap, and excellently staffed public state university systems bringing high quality education to the masses.

If federal agents marched down streets demanding papers — what would we say?

Authoritarianism — let’s not pretend it’s something else when it happens in our American cities.
