Not surprised to hear NG-2 delaying due to the current solar activity. The ESCAPADE trajectory would take the spacecraft through some of the worst of the radiation, makes sense to wait it out rather than try and power through it.

We have upgraded our geomagnetic forecast today (12 November 2025) to the highest intensity level amid an ongoing solar storm.

Current predictions suggest that the activity will result in potentially the largest solar storm to hit our planet in over two decades.

An orbital image of the Martian surface taken by Tianwen-1, showing the region of Protonilus Mensae in the Ismenius Lacus quadrangle. The landscape features a mix of rugged, eroded mesas and numerous impact craters. Near the bottom, an eroded landform resembles the shape of an ancient riverbed. The terrain varies in colour from warm rusty reddish tones to more brownish, with contrasting light and dark shading that reveals surface textures and elevation changes. Very light cloud cover is visible near the top of the image, softening the details in that region. Toward the right side, a distinct, bright white cloud casts a soft shadow, standing out sharply against the rusty ground. The overall scene conveys the dry and rocky, yet ancient and geologically complex nature of the Martian terrain.

After @astrosherie.space and I lost our beloved Katniss earlier this month, we decided to adopt this beautiful furbaby that we've named Katie...already now known as also Katie-Kat, Katie Cane, Katie the Koala & the Velveteen Rabbit (very soft)! She is scared but sweet & has claimed the linen closet!

Sadly, @atmocheryl.space & I had to say goodbye to our sweet, beautiful Katniss last night. She was 14 and battling recent lymphoma. She had the best purrs & adorable cheeps & saw us through 3 moves, our B.S. degrees & a million memories. She's completely irreplaceable & we will miss her forever! 🌈😇

More photos have been released showing the Artemis II SLS Core Stage fully lowered into the new High Bay 2 Vertical Work Cell. Here technicians now have full access to every part of the stage, both internal and externally, allowing more work to be done prior to mating with the SRBs next year.
