My friends fairly right wing suburban mom rides it from downtown Bellevue to the spring district for lunch every day and loves it. What would Aurora Avenue look like with a line? What would Lake City look like with a line? What if there was a line from Ballard to the U District?
Late last week I wrote about how the 2 Line is performing well by exceeding 200,000 boardings for two months in a row...and then Sound Transit released data showing that it jumped to 300,000 in July.
Turns out people do actually want to ride the train between Bellevue and Redmond.

Today is a reminder that people don’t know what is possible until you show them. We have to get more private time in front of elected officials where they can see what Seattle could be.
Here’s why what you say here matters. I met @pushtheneedle.bsky.social for coffee 3+years ago to learn about yimby urbanism. After that I met @caryw.bsky.social who’s doing great work in Bothell.
