I was so fortunate to see this beautiful alignment of the Moon and Venus along with purple and pink clouds tonight during sunset. I couldn't have asked for a better setup for week 1 of the 52Frames challenge. #52Frames_selfportrait #astrophotography #photography

The atmosphere became very still for about 20 minutes on this night. The raw video coming from the camera had so much detail. This from 16 30 s SER files taken with a ZWO ASI224MC camera with 3x Barl...

This Celestron Explorer DX was donated to me by a family at my school. They said they never used it. I like the StarSense feature. I’m thinking of using it for grab & go outreach sessions instead of my big rig. Have any of you used this scope for outreach? 🔭

I enjoyed a similar sight tonight (minus the cats). But for a brief moment watching these two, I became keenly aware of the ecliptic and the fact that I was standing on a sphere and facing out away from the orbital plane of the solar system 😲🔭

So stoked I finally got to image last night for the first time since December 20th. Each of the images are one hour each of 10 minute subframes and despite some imperfections from frost on the filter, I'm pretty happy. 🤗

Well I opted for the Pleiades last night. Here is a quick edit of the data. I'll sit down and play with it properly when I have time. Happy to share the stacked .xisf raw file if anyone wants a go at processing it themselves and then post in the thread. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

Wow! Last night, our telescope revealed incredible details of Jupiter. The image shows what astronomers call a "shadow transit"—the black dot is the shadow of the Galilean moon Io, which can be seen as a dot to the bottom right. #astronomy

Thank you. I'm but an amateur myself. For digital imaging on a budget the SeestarS50 is great in my opinion. I also have 2 Newtonian reflectors, 4 inch Skywatcher with 'go to' drive and an old 6 inch manual. Plus a pair of Bresser 20x80 binoculars. All good for my needs. None are expensive. 😊🔭

Gosh the sky was beautiful last night. I managed to get out to @exmoornp.bsky.social to enjoy the super dark skies. This is 45 minutes or so of the Integrated Flux Nebula around Polaris. Brilliant untracked target. Pretty noisy so needs more time next time! #exmoor #astrophotography #ifn

Captured in Kayseri, Turkey, this photograph shows the solar analemma - a figure-eight pattern traced by the Sun over a year, taken at the same time each day (1:00 PM). This is caused by the Earth’s axial tilt and elliptical orbit around the Sun.

My grand finale tonight. An image I've dreamed of capturing ever since being a young boy in the 1960s. The iconic Horsehead Nebula. It's taken 4 months since buying the SeestarS50 for the time, location and seeing conditions to be right.

Very happy with this. 😊🎉🔭

So last night was perfect for a long star trails run, with clear sky for most of the night, so that's what I did. I beat my previous time for this type of shot too - this image represents 12 hours 30 minutes of star trails! 😀 #Astronomy #Astrophotography #SciArt #Space

First clear night in forever, and little Moon, so I pointed the Origin 🔭 for three hours on this beautiful lesser-known star-forming region NGC 7822. Note the cluster of stars on the right, whose radiation and winds are sculpting the gas cloud into fantastic shapes and making it glow.
