Hello Bluesky! I am excited to be here. My family and I live in Oklahoma where I am a firmware engineer for a hard drive manufacturer. I have many hobbies (astrophotography, planetary science, sci-fi) but not enough time! I am politically liberal but attempt to understand other perspectives.

My son was a good sport (pun intended) helping me with this week’s 52Frames Photo Challenge, “Sports Photography”. To freeze the action and focus on the ball at its apex, burst mode, a fast shutter speed, and manual pre-focusing were essential. #52frames_sportsphotography #photography

Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon west of Oklahoma City, approximately 01:00 UTC 11/10/2025. Nikon Z6, 200mm, f3.2, ISO 800, 10s stack of 40, cropped and processed with Siril. some defects in the image but I’m pleased. It was not visible to my eyes, but the camera picks it up well. #astrophotography #comet
