Just submitted my first big NASA grant 😁🎉🎊🍷
What a learning experience! I wrote a lot of grants in grad school, but this was so much more intense and so many moving parts. So glad to have the support to be able to develop this skill

New paper: “you just look at rocks, and have beards” Perceptions of Geology From the United Kingdom: A Qualitative Analysis From an Online Survey.

We explore perceptions of geology from both 'Non-geologists' and 'Geologists', who describe the subject very differently! ⚒️🧪

Trynna distract myself from life rn by planning for AbSciCon - any Astrobiologists, planetary scientists or Precambrian Geologists looking to meet an aussie who is a solid collaborator & wants to talk fun science & education? I'm still a baby in the US and really want to meet some more people!

Read four books this week, and I feel complete in a way I haven't felt in a long time. I gave up on reading for fun because I was so mentally exhausted during my Master's degree and PhD, it feels good to have it back

This Nasi Goreng was one of the best meals I've ever cooked. Three different colours of capsicum, four different sources of chili, just egg, bacon tempeh. Just absolutely top tier from beginning to end
