Book of the week:
Vows & Ruins by Helen Scheuerer

WHEN WILL I LEARN THAT MEN AINT SHIT?!?!!! I am so pissed, I could scream. I have many gripes about this book, but the ending really got me good, so at least there’s that.

Book of the week:
Blood and Steel by Helen Scheuerer

This was such a fun read! I was gripped by the story from the very beginning, and I am so invested it’s almost scary! I am a sucker for a strong FMC, and the MMC is DADDY!

What a book to end the year on.

Book of the week:
City of Gods and Monsters by Kayla Edwards

I’m still trying to piece my thoughts together about this book, but I’m not sure I understand the hype. It was interesting at first, but I lost steam halfway through. Overall, a ‘meh’ book. 🤷🏾‍♀️

If you didn’t like Beyoncé’s performance- don’t come near me.

You reek of bad vibes and are a certified hater. BEGONE! #beyonce #halftimeshow #CowboyCarter

Book of the week:
In the Likely Event by Rebecca Yarros

Wow. I read through this book like it was crack and I was an addict! As a spouse of a veteran, this book touched me in a special way. The miscommunication trope was there, but I would recommend this for sure!

Book of the week:
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

It was okay. The plot was cool, but I left the book feeling pretty ‘meh’ about it. I will continue on with the series, but ACOTAR is still superior at this point.

Book of the week:
The Deal by Elle Kennedy

Sometimes, a cute little romance is all you need. Be warned- there are discussions of rape and childhood physical/mental abuse, but I loved the yearning, chemistry, and banter between the 2 lead characters. Love wins!

Book of the week:
The Games Gods Play by Abigail Owen

This was such a fun read and had me on an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end! It had the same vibes as Phantasma, but with Greek Gods! Book 2 is in the works, and I will definitely be reading!

Book of the week:
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

This book was better than the first, but the inability for Violet and Xaden to have an adult conversation and fix their issues made me want to jump off of parapet. The same fight for 800 pages? Get it together you two!

Book of the week:
Riot House by Callie Hart

I will never read another romance with teenage lead characters again. I loved Quicksilver, and I was hoping this book would be just as good or at least average, but no. I tried so hard to finish it, but I DNF’d it at 54%.

READING ALOUD CHANGES CHILDREN'S LIVES FOREVER! Just 10 minutes a day can be enough to help them find the love of books, and become lifelong readers. So whatever else you do, always find the time to read aloud – and the more you do, the better! #literacy #reading #books

Quicksilver by Callie Hart

Is this book 600 pages?
Yep.
Did I still finish it in 2 days?
Absolutely.

The last 100 pages were absolutely diabolical, and I cannot wait for book 2!

*I do hate the book cover though😅

Book of the week:
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

*maybe a controversial take* I really needed Violet to have her Aria Stark assassin glow up, and that never really happened. I also didn’t believe their love story 😬 Still an interesting read though!

Book of the week:
Lights Out by Navessa Allen

This book is what Haunting Adeline THOUGHT it was with a similar premise but infinitely more likable characters. Good intro into dark romance & spice!

I am in love with a fictional character, and I don’t know what to do about it. If you are a romance reader- READ THIS BOOK (and listen audio while your at it 😉)

Been thinking a lot lately about that episode of Parks and Rec where Leslie and Tom have to rebrand fluoride in the water as TDazzle in order to get the public to support it.

Caught Up by Liz Tomforde

With the world going to shit, predictable and mushy romance helps ease the existential dread. This is one of those books that has me giggling and kicking my feet throughout the entire read. Would recommend as a form of escapism.
