Ohhhh I am feeling the need to make a nice long thread about textiles and sustainability. Absolutely nothing in particular sparked this, I just like to educate folks and combat modern ideas about what makes clothing and fashion "better" than it may have been in the past.

Bringing this thread back: the thing I wish everyone knew about fabric explained. Every fabric has a fiber and a weave. The fiber is the material it is made of (polyester, silk, cotton, wool, etc.) and the weave is how it is woven (satin, dupioni, chiffon, charmeuse, etc.)
