I don’t really care what this place is or isn’t. Alls I know is it’s been great for the business of The Onion and that both Zuck and Musk have experience cooking and/or hiding the books on their own traffic. Doesn’t really matter if there are more page views if they’re not real people.
Both X and Threads have far more users than Bluesky. But X is a Nazi pit and Threads is exceptionally boring—and if you're looking to drive traffic, Bluesky outperforms both. So don't feel anxious that you're missing out by using this smaller platform. If you enjoy it, happily continue to do so.

Okay, well if you can sue judges, who wants to file a lawsuit against Aileen Cannon with me?

PALLONE: With regard to vaccines, are you just afraid to receive public comments on proposals? There's been no public process

RFK JR: We have a public process for regulating vaccines. It's called the ACIP committee.

PALLONE: You fired the committee!

It’s deeply disturbing that FAA Administrator nominee Bryan Bedford refuses to commit to upholding the 1,500-hour pilot training standard.

After the DCA crash and surge in near-misses, now is NOT the time to weaken flight training requirements for pilots.

I’ll be voting no.

Today’s unsigned, unexplained #SCOTUS ruling clearing the way for removals of migrants to third countries without any additional process is a disaster—not just on the merits, but because of the government misbehavior that it not only refuses to punish, but effectively rewards.

Me, via “One First”:
161. The Court's Disastrous Ruling in the Third-Country Removal Case
The majority did not just greenlight an especially odious immigration policy without any explanation; it did so in a case in which the government defied the district court—twice—with no consequence.

For those unconditionally cheering the attacks on Iran, remember that our early strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq were “successful”. But we ended up getting dragged into costly wars that created more terrorists than we killed. The American people haven’t forgotten that.

In my worst nightmares the teenagers at DOGE take over the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and, yup, here we are.
The White House just dropped an executive order significantly shaking up operations at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the government’s nuclear safety regulator widely regarded as the “gold standard” for global nuclear power safety operations.

I used to cover NRC closely. Here are some notes🧵
