#WIPWednesday, and yes, this is Ed in fedora* from my new(ish) murder mystery au set in England in the early 1930s. It has Agatha Christie vibes, too! (Or so I hope 😂)

*I've been thinking about Ed in fedora for an *embarrassing* amount of time, considering that the fedora appears only briefly 👀
“Ed!” Stede greets, unable to stop himself from smiling. His heart skips a beat when Ed looks up at him with an answering grin, taking off his fedora only to reveal a neatly arranged bun that keeps most of his hair back from his face, save for two cheeky strands that frame it and make him look breathtakingly beautiful. (Stede gulps and chases the thought away). “Stede! Great to see you!” “Likewise,” Stede answers, hoping his face won’t betray how much of an understatement it is. “How was your trip?” Ed winces, in a way only he can, all his lovely face crumbling, his short (scandalous!) beard doing nothing to hide the way his lips curl. “Long? Smelly? Boring as hell? Honestly, man, let’s just skip the pleasantries, ‘kay? You know I hate them.” He does, and Stede adores him for that. He’s never admired anyone more than he admires Ed and the way he holds himself, easily putting on the mask of a cold, calculative, and efficient businessman who is so different from the Ed he got to know in the couple of weeks.

This weeks #taikatuesday is one of my favs: director Taika 📸

He steps closer, unfurling his woollen scarf, and catches the exact moment when Alamein’s eyes widen and a tiny breath falls from his lips, furling in the freezing air in a delicate white puff. Alamein tilts his head forward to let Madigan throw the scarf around his neck, his wet curls moving heavily with the movement. Madigan concentrates on the task at hand, wrapping the fabric in loose coils, and tries not to think about cupping Alamein’s cold cheeks to warm them. He can’t ignore the way Alamein watches him, though, and it makes him hot all over, his fingers suddenly clumsy in the gloves.

GO READ THIS STORY ITS SO GOOD
Half-shark Ed lying in a cave fill of stalactites and stalagmites. He has a large tail and a dorsal fin as well as two long penises between his legs. The rest of him looks fairly human, but he has tiger shark stripes all over his back, tail, legs, and arms. He has long wave gray hair and his long beard looks like anemone or garden eels, moving independently. His hands are webbed and be has a purple glint to his eyes. His legs are under water that's lapping against the shore.
