Leaning into my bog-witch era. Deeply fond of #ofmd and a Taikaholic to boot. Unwise consumption of fanfic.
I awoke from an extremely stressful and annoying dream in which my sister had bought the whole family, including my 84yr old, wheelchair bound mother, and my dad who died 11 years ago, tickets to see Coldplay at the St Mary's Football stadium. Most of the dream was about transport logistics.

I was nearly Geraldine, which I don't understand because my mum already had a niece called Geraldine who she has never liked. I think of it as a name for a farm animal. I'm very glad I'm not called Geraldine. No middle name either. Good for filling out forms. Not so good for future genealogists.
Introduce yourself with the name your parents almost gave you

Alexis if I’d been a boy, nickname Alyosha (my mom was a Russian lit major). Alexis actually woulda been a cool NB name
Introduce yourself with the band your parents almost gave you

Richard or Robert.

I would’ve been either Dick or Bob if I’d been born with… y’know, the first thing 😂

Turns out the *first* ultrasound tech was more right than anyone knew, about my actual gender, but.

Please make sure you know the symptoms of breast cancer. I only caught mine early because I had dimpling in my breast and knew it was a symptom so I saw my GP. Please check your breasts regularly for changes and see a GP if you have symptoms mentioned below

Liz, thank you so much. You actually pushed me to make a better graphic for this. 🧡 🧡

Our local hospital had a major fire today. It's an awful mess. The last fire there in 2018 which was the day my youngest son fell over his brother and smashed his face on a bookcase. We arrived at the hospital with four fire engines. The Pud was triaged by a nurse in a bus shelter.

Schitt's Creek was my main coping strategy during dark time in my life. Moira Rose officiating at David and Patrick's wedding is one of the best bits of TV I've ever seen. Catherine O'Hara was outrageously brilliant, and I'm sad to hear that she's no longer here.

Distraction, distraction, distraction is a perfectly good coping mechanism, and there are many worse things to be distracted by than this chap's talent, energy and (let's be honest) face, be it #taikatuesday or any other day of the week.

Started trying to sort out the understairs cupboard. Immediately regret. So much regret. How did we end up with all this shit? There's about 10 hdmi cables. Why?
Actually, I know why. It's because of Mr LizerD saying "but what if we need it one day?". He's in London tonight though so 🚮

I live between the Rivers Itchen & Test, but I'll pick the Test as it's the one I fell in on 29 Dec 2016, at Mottisfont Abbey, right in front of the children's playground so with a big audience for the time of year. At the visitor centre they said I'm the only adult known to have done this.

My husband just looked at me with concern and asked if I was ok. Then said "hang on, it's just because my specs are dirty". Wtf did he think could be wrong that would cause me to become blurry? I'm not The Flash.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, or Alice in Chains

Were it not for the joy of #taikatuesday I would barely know what day of the week it was. I've been asleep on the sofa this evening. I didn't look like this. How come he's never got his gob hanging open and drooling in any of the Naptiti pics? Hmm?! Seems unfair.

Arachnophobia - my friend Dave freaked out and tried to get under his own seat (surely the most likely place for spiders to be?).
My Girl - five of us had a mass hysteria event such as I have never experienced before or since. He can't see without his glasses, y'know?
1st Peter Jackson movie I saw was Dead Alive at the Up All Night fest in Olympia in the late '90s. Vividly recall sitting in the balcony, laughing and gagging at the scene with the custard. I don't have the intestinal fortitude for that much horror or lack of sleep anymore 😂
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

Who looked at Christmas lights and decided that really hectic flashing would make things more festive? I hope their turkey is always dry and their toast potatoes soggy, whoever they are. The house opposite ours looks like a migraine from dusk til dawn.

So much incredible art for #youdrewmealovelyframe. Could someone please link me up to the previous frames projects, please? My bookmarking has let me down.

Right, I'm knackered but also feeling very buzzy, so I think it's time to watch #OFMD while eating Nutella out of the jar

I live in a tiny Edwardian semi with one bathroom. I share it with two sweaty fitness fanatics and a tween who is self conscious about his very curly hair. On at least 3/4 attempts by me to go to the loo or clean my teeth, there is someone in the shower. As is the case now. It's 23.05 ffs

It's turning out to be quite the week. Toilet leak on Monday so no water or heating all day while we waited for a plumber. Five-hour complaint hearing on Tues in a freezing room. Weds, woke up to this view when we opened the bedroom curtains:

Well, #taikatuesday really served this week, didn't it?! I'm not even going to add a picture because I'm assuming that today's stunning offerings are burned on the inside of all of your eyelids, as they are on mine. Delicious.

Knitting friends, I'm making my first jumper, which has raglan sleeves. I'm knitting it for large son, and did a great job of the front up to the start of the raglan, where I have promptly fucked it right up. Is there a safe-ish way to unravel back to the start of the raglan?

Happy #taikatuesday to those who celebrate!

Nothing like driving past dozens of sagging St George's flags to spend five hours in Accident & Emergency on a Friday evening to get the weekend off to a great start. Have left my mum to sleep on a trolley in a corridor as it's going to be hours before she can see a doctor. Bit bleak tbh.
