Wicked love New England, hiking, reading, and the occasional craft beer. Boston born, and raised in Merrimack Valley. Still don’t know how to play 45s.
Nothing this week was an example of a man in charge. Rogue orders, bad advice taken causing chaos and worse. @peterbakernyt.bsky.social
Trump's assault on the federal government has been a campaign of breathtaking scope and relentless velocity, a blend of personal and political as he seeks revenge against perceived enemies while demolishing the foundations of the modern liberal state. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/29/u...

Millions will flock this weekend to cheer on woman of color (a witch!) in her rebellion against a populist charlatan who has whipped up excitable, easily led Munchkins into a frenzy of hatred against a marginalized group. Some things happen only over the rainbow.

The first name on this list is my mother's 13-year-old first cousin.

Her father desperately tried to get to the U.S. "legally" but there were too many restrictions in place. Not one member of the family survived.
